Good weight for a 5'8'; woman? Advice please!?

I am 5'8'; and weigh between 143-145. Is this healthy? What is the proper weight for someone at my height? And what are the numbers for underweight and overweight? Any info is appreciated! Thanks!Good weight for a 5'8'; woman? Advice please!?

I think weight is just a number. You can weigh more because of muscle and look great or weigh less except have more fat and look worse. So it really depends on how fat/slim your body is and how much muscle you have.
under 150 is great, if you feel you're too fat, exercise and proper diet BETTER than you do now
That is the perfect weight I am 5'8 and weigh 140

depending on your bones your suppose to be in the 100 to 130 range so your not to far off
im that tall and i weigh about 120.... but im pretty skinny so idk. id say that was a little overweight but i dont really know.

That is a perfectly healthy weight to be. based on bmi (which obviously is not the best nor the sole indication of fitness/thinness/health, you are 21.9 which is pretty much perfect =D of course, its always good to work out and eat healthily but i would not reccomend you to lose any weight! i am your height and ish your weight. underweight at 5';8 - around 120lbs (bmi of 18 and below) overweight - around 165lbs (bmi of 25 and above) obviously as i said before bmi is not the best indicator and may not be accurate with certain people (people with a lot of muscle may come out as obese!) and of course body fat percentage is a good measure, if you are interested you can buy scales which will measure it, but at your weight/height combo you dont seem to have anything to worry about!





it does depend on your frame though, as i said i am around your height/weight and my friends say i'm ridiculously skinny! so seriously, that weight is fine!

It's supposed to be determined by your BMI. Body Mass Index, which works with factors such as age and gender. You can find a good online BMI calculator, but your doctor should be able to calculate it professionally.





Don't worry too much, because unmentioned things like ethnic background can also be a factor. Well, I hope this helps... ^^;
i would think that being almost six feet tall and weighing 145 is a pretty good weight i am guessing that what you weigh is a good weight so don't worry about it

according to weight watchers its any thing from 135lb to 169lb (9st9-12st1) Im 5';8 and weight 140lb and am a size 10 so i think thats pretty average but as long as u are between the weights above then ur bmi is in the healthy weight section.
Perfect weight. Use a BMI calculator or ask your doctor. And don't listen to the idiot who said you were fat, she's ignorant.
I'm 5'8'; and I'm a Weight Watchers member. They say our stats should be between 135-155. I'm sure it differs for people. To me, a good weight is 145-150. I think if I was 135 I would look sickly.
